The International Women’s Day Schools Concert is meant to instill and enhance performance skills in students and encourages student initiatives on the promotion of gender equality, cultural heritage, human rights, drug, and alcohol prevention through performances.
The concert provides an opportunity for the students and teachers from the participating schools to spend time in a fun way free from alcohol and drugs. It is also a platform to interrogate the relationship between substance abuse and violence against women and the need to safeguard the rights of women and children.
